Miss Babs Hand-Dyed Yarns & Fibers, Inc.

It was time for a change.

In 2016, yarn maven Babs Ausherman (“Miss Babs” to knitting aficionados around the world) found herself in a twist. Her digital developer had dropped off the face of the planet and wasn’t returning her calls or emails. She reached out to Shopify and asked for a referral, and her representative recommended our team at Tomorrows Designs.

During a face-to-face meeting with Babs and Veronica Parsons, we discussed the brand’s needs. Together, we mapped out a plan that would include a new customized website, new UI/UX implementations, new brand imaging and development of a suite of specialized apps. A few weeks later, we flew to Miss Babs’ worldwide HQ in Mountain City, Tennessee to assist with new brand photography and on-location product shots.

We soon began work on two custom apps that would give Miss Babs’ shoppers an enhanced digital experience. The Compare Colors app would allow each customer to select any skein of yarn and drag it next to any other skein to find complementary hues for purchase. And the Recommended Yarns app would help customers easily select and purchase the yarns needed to complete any project they saw highlighted on the website’s Project Gallery.

Today, Tomorrows Designs and Miss Babs continue to collaborate on site enhancements and creating colorful new experiences for knitters and designers around the world.

POO~POURRI

In late 2015, Poo-Pourri discovered that their online platform was beginning to emit an unpleasant odor. The innovative brand had been gaining lots of buzz around its line of toilet sprays, but its existing WordPress site had failed to keep up with the increased traffic and product update demands. Adding to the challenge, the company was putting the finishing touches on its new brand video and needed a stable website on which to launch it.

The list of required website improvements was extensive. The timeline was short. But Tomorrows Designs was up to the task, migrating Poo-Pourri’s products, customer list and orders database from WordPress to WooCommerce. We also connected the site to NetSuite, redesigned the UX/UI and completed quality assurance testing all in time for the big video debut.

Once the site was live, the brand team invited us over to their building for a celebratory spritz of Poo-Pourri. Today, we continue to be the company’s Shopify experts (and loyal customers).
